Resolved Question: how do you guys feel about the death penalty?

I just watched the movie "Changeling" staring Angelina Jolie, a movie based on the true story of the Wineville Chicken coop murders were a possible twenty kids were slaughtered like animals by a crazy serial killer in Riverside,CA. In my mind, I have always considered life to be precious even with animals. My issue is how could you let someone like a rapist, Murderers or Child molesters and such live? and not live but in sense thrive. They get breakfast,lunch,dinner and a roof over there heads. A privilege to attend church, to earn finances while in prison, oh and if there really good a chance for parol and a choice to vote. This is ridiculous, these people deserve to die, so why do we preserve there lives for what? I feel if you do the crime, youve given up your time, blood taken, blood should be given. How do you guys feel about this? now come on guys, your telling me that if your child was molested and murdered you wouldnt send this person to the gas chamber, I think my answers are coming from people who arent married or have children. It is only the right thing to do, to rid ourselves of all these criminals, and no rehab for these kinds of criminals. And really to the guy that said what if somone else was framed, the possibility of that happening isnt a huge percentage, but I know those things happen. But seriously if you have the hard evidence to prove otherwise, justice should be served. to kreek, you have prison totally wrong my friend, I have had friends that have went to jail and enjoyed being in prison, In fact they tried there hardest to stay in because with a felony its almost impossible to get a job. And no these guys are not murders and the crimenals I mentioned earlier, just guys that made mistakes haning out with the wrong crowds. You make some good arguments that make it very hard for me to actually completely embrace the death penalty. But you’re not considering the child molesters that somehow find their way back to our streets. There was a case that offender was a repeated offender and demanded that he could be rehabilitated. He told the officers don’t let me live I will do this again, and guess what, he did, as soon as he got back out of prison he was placed in a safe home 2 miles away from an elementary school. And this time he molested an murdered 4 kids and other got away and was able to tell authorities to get him back in prison, only so he could be let go again 4 years later. Really consider this; yea the revenge of 100 years of prison with no chance of parole isn’t good enough. I do see that were not cowboys no more and I’m sure we make better calls to cases today than 100 years ago, I think the death penalty is still needed for criminals that cannot be reintroduced into society. sorry I made a mistake, were I said the criminal could be rehabilitated I meant could not be. now its very hard for me to give someone the 10pts, I'll let you decided because most of you have some excellent answers that I can decided, thank you guys for all of your input....
